Application of Kitronyx's Pressure Distribution Measurement System for Tablet PCB Press Process

Purpose

This case study involves the application of the SFC2700CM sensor to verify the uniformity of the Press Tool in the tablet manufacturing process.

Results

After applying the tool and measuring the pressure distribution during pressurization, the results showed a pattern similar to that obtained with pressure indicating film.

This similarity demonstrates that the pressure distribution measurement system can replace pressure indicating film measurements. Additionally, the ability to check values in real-time offers significant advantages. It allows for immediate adjustments by verifying the pressure distribution, thus enhancing the overall efficiency and reliability of the process.

This real-time monitoring reduces downtime and minimizes errors, leading to improved product quality and consistency.

The experiment shows that using the SFC2700CM sensor not only replaces analog measurement methods such as pressure indicating film but also enables digitalization, providing enhanced functionality and precision.

Expected Benefits and Applications

1. Quality Improvement and Consistency Assurance
Ensuring the flatness of the press tool prevents pressure concentration in specific areas, enabling the production of consistent, high-quality products.

2. Reduction in Defect Rate
Uniform pressure reduces the likelihood of PCB layer separation and bubble formation, lowering the defect rate.
