In this post, we share our new sensors - very fine pitch sensors. Kitronyx MC1509 and a new super multi-channel controllers are used to measure pressure data from these fine pitch pressure sensors.
This demo shows pressure data while a user is writing on Kitronyx force pressure touch sensor.
Kitronyx is an engineering company that provides development tools and engineering design services to individuals, companies, universities and government agencies based on expertise in force, pressure, and multi-touch technologies. Our focus is on providing the ‘closest to complete’ technology to enable customers to rapidly turn ideas into real products.
MC1509 is a force touch controller that is designed for easy development of pressure mapping application. Kitronyx supplies compatible matrix array sensors (MS9705, MS9712, MS9711) as well. The combination of these components can be regarded as pressure mapping HDK (Hardware Development Kit) and is the perfect tool to evaluate Kitronyx force pressure sensing technologies. In addition, carefully designed SDK makes our solution suitable for anyone who wants to develop his/her own pressure mapping applications.
In this post, we shows one possible application of MC1509 and MS9705 - tire pressure mapping.
In the video below, our products are used to capture tire footprint pressure patterns. Dynamic and static tire footprints are measured and displayed by using MC1509 force controller and MS9705 FSR matrix sensor.
