Kitronyx releases a new FSR matrix sensor MS9727. MS9727 is a huge FSR matrix sensor that has never been released in the market. Active sensing area is 730 mm (W) x 460 mm (H) and it is compatible with MC1509 force controller. Data acquisition is done by using Snowforce as well as Kitronyx APIs that let users easily embed Kitronyx sensors into their own projects such as smart mat, robotic applications and other interesting sensory applications. About Kitronyx Kitronyx www.kitronyx.com is a world leader in force sensing and pressure mapping solutions. Kitronyx has provided various pressure mapping products and OEM solutions with world top-tier customers. In this post, we summarize products we are working for:
[Update May 25 2018] We add a demo video of large area FSR matrix sensor. This post will show your some works we have been working on last several months - Snowboard 2 Snowboard 2 is an Arduino shield that embeds multiple point pressure mapping and single zone force sensing capabilities Even though Snowboard 2 is designed to work on top of Arudino, it can operate standalone as well. Snowboard 2 is completely compatible with sensors for Snowboard.
Foot pressure mapping or plantar foot pressure map is important in gait and posture research for studying lower limb issues, footwear design, sports performance analysis, etc. The foot pressure mapping systems available on the market are too expensive. More seriously, it is very hard to develop a custom system with traditional foot pressure mapping systems mainly due to their closed source policy.
For this reasons, Kitronyx offers two foot pressure mapping hardware development kit (HDK) MP2505 and MP2506. MP2505 is a high resolution plantar foot pressure mapping system which is suitable for researchers and engineers in organizations. On the other hand, MP2506 is a budget foot pressure mapping system and offers sufficient performance for general foot pressure mapping applications. This two are designed to work as a base platform to build a complete foot pressure mapping system with very easy to use open source APIs. Snowboard Starter Kit 2 is our new line of HDK that includes two FSR matrix sensors and Snowboard controller. Most of all, this kit contains a larger sensor MS9724 (128 x 80mm active sensing area) so it can be used for wider range of applications.
MA1009 extension cable system is designed for MC1509 force controller. MA1009 has 700mm length cable so a sensor can be placed away from MC1509 controller which help you measure pressure or touch in distance.
We've been silent for a long time but it does not mean that we're away from you. Today, we are very happy to announce new sensors for Snowboard - MS9723 and MS9724. Both of them has improved tails so that a user can conveniently handle our sensors. Especially MS9724 is our first "big" sensor solely designed for Snowboard and it will enlarge applications of Snowboard. [MS9723] FSR Matrix Array Sensor (16x10 Rows and Columns / 80mm x 50mm Active Sensing Area)
$80.00
80.0 x 50.0m (mm) active sensing area matrix sensor with 16x10 electrodes and 160 sensing locations.
Since we adopt FPC cable for tails of our new sensors, MA9723C01 is newly designed to interface these new sensors and Snowboard.
