Foot pressure mapping or plantar foot pressure map is important in gait and posture research for studying lower limb issues, footwear design, sports performance analysis, etc. The foot pressure mapping systems available on the market are too expensive. More seriously, it is very hard to develop a custom system with traditional foot pressure mapping systems mainly due to their closed source policy.
For this reasons, Kitronyx offers two foot pressure mapping hardware development kit (HDK) MP2505 and MP2506.
MP2505 is a high resolution plantar foot pressure mapping system which is suitable for researchers and engineers in organizations. On the other hand, MP2506 is a budget foot pressure mapping system and offers sufficient performance for general foot pressure mapping applications.
This two are designed to work as a base platform to build a complete foot pressure mapping system with very easy to use open source APIs.

NOTE: Data acquisition electronics of MP2505 has been replaced with MC1600.
MP2505 is a Hardware Development Kit (HDK) is designed for researchers and engineers who want to build and evaluate their own pressure mapping system.
This HDK contains one MC1600 controller and many sensors:
Compared with buying each item separately, you will get 20% off discount by purchasing this kit.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This HDK outputs raw ADC (Analog to Digital Conversion) values which are changed according to applied pressure. For absolute pressure distribution measurement, a calibration process in user's side is required. With regard to calibration, Kitronyx only provides an exemplary simple calibration method here. It should be emphasized that there are many calibration algorithms for FSR matrix sensors and measurement performance follows the utilized calibration method.
