1. Discovery

During this phase, you'll likely have multiple emails and chats with our business-development representatives and project managers so we can gather information about your project and start to think about the technical aspects.
The goal of the discovery phase is to:

• Understand the goals, vision, and context of your project.
• Identify your project’s initial requirements and possible technical challenges.
• Answer the various technical questions that arise during this phase.

Typical duration: 1-2 weeks

2. Minimum Viable Product (MVP) Development and Launch

We value your time. We value your budget.
This MVP development and launch phase is where your initial product will be designed, built and released according to the plan created in the earlier phases.
In this phase, we typically offer our off-the-shelf products​, rapid prototyping service, custom design service, pre-built software and API.​

• Customized sensors:  rapid prototyping service and custom design service are offered in this phase.
• Data acquisition electronics: off-the-shelf electronics are suggested in this phase
• Software: pre-built software and API are useful in this phase.

The goal of the MVP development and launch phase is to build your project's MVP - including sensor, electronics, and software.
Most small projects ends in this phase. This phase is recommended for researchers, students, small business, and hobbyists.
Typical duration: 3-4 weeks

3. Post-MVP Development

The goal of the Post-MVP Development phase is to gather feedback from you to identify which direction your project should go further and which features to build next (2 weeks in typical).
​Based on feedback from clients, we fully customize all components of product - sensors, electronics, and software
Our development team consist of all the required resources needed to build your product and handle all the technical aspects of your project or collaborate with your team. Following are our scope of engineering:

• Sensor design and manufacturing
• ​Electronics design
• Software development ranging from research prototyping to commercial software development (PC software and App development)
• Data processing algorithm, and 
• Project management handling all inter- and intra-firm development.

Typical duration: 3 - 6 months based on project requirements. This duration will be shortened if project scope is minimized. For example, custom sensor design typically needs 4 weeks of development.

4. Production

The exact specifications are determined and set for the series (design freeze). Delivery times and batch sizes are also determined in this phase as well as customer-specific needs quality control criteria. At this point Kitronyx will submit a binding quote for the product to be mass-produced.
